The game has a very charming way of putting up a debate, about whether to be a hero and die or be a villain and live. This question comes your way when in the 10th mission titled “Shock and Awe” you try and rescue a pilot from their crashed helicopter. In this process, however, you lose precious time to get out of the Nuke radius. In the end, it kills not just the player but the teammates as well.
This scene alone was enough to make this entry a serious contender for the best experience in the entire history of gaming, but somehow it also affected the full storyline of the franchise making COD characters not just weak, but flawed as well. Thus, it is not just an underrated but a dark horse as well in the franchise.
