Amouranth stated that doing so would be “selfish” because it would mean abruptly ending a source of income for her team of people, who she employs to help create and manage the content.

This shows that Amouranth is taking steps to transition her staff to new projects and events, and has given them notice to find other employment while still ensuring their positions are locked in for two months.

Amouranth went on to address the criticism she has received from those who believe she should lay off her staff and instantly change her content. She said, “Non-content creators in the peanut gallery think I’m supposed to just lay off everyone and instantly change my content. Congrats on never having run an org — it sounds nice but it’s not fair to my staff.”

Amouranth’s statement highlights the fact that running an organization is not as simple as some may think and that it is important to consider the impact on the staff before making a sudden change.
