Console Giant Xbox Aims To Please Fans With the Latest ‘Friends and Family’ Subscription Plan

Xbox has been known for its family-friendly content and easy-to-access menus. Thus it became more exciting for fans when a recent confirmation made it clear that something new for the Xbox is coming. With insider news and a hinted piece of an image, the new Xbox GamePass subscription might be closer than it looks.

For years now fans have been waiting for a Netflix-type subscription plan for Gamepass that will allow family members to play and install games on their own accounts. And now this feature might soon be integrated into the console for family members living miles apart.

Insider teases an image for Xbox Gamepass ‘Friends and Family’

In a recent post Xbox backend scraper, Aggiornamenti Lumia (@ALumia_Italia) revealed that Xbox might be planning on bringing a new subscription plan for up to five users to make and handle accounts. Also, Microsoft recently stated that it is working on a much-requested feature for its Xbox Game Pass service.

Following the services from the likes of Netflix and Nintendo Online, it has been verified by various sources that Xbox Game Pass is actually receiving a family package. At present, the Game Pass family package is in its testing phase in two countries, Ireland and Columbia; it will eventually be made available to the entire public later.

Game Pass for Friends & Family is assumed to cost around $25, however, the actual prices may unavoidably vary by area due to monetary variations. This plan and service will grant Game Pass to up to five users, which the aim of significantly increasing the platform’s user base.

Microsoft claims its console has captured market share

According to Microsoft, the Xbox Series X/S has helped the firm gain market share for two consecutive quarters, thanks to robust sales. During the company’s third-quarter meeting Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, “With our Xbox Series X and S consoles, we have taken share globally for two quarters in a row.”

He also added, “And we are the market leader this quarter among the next-gen consoles in the United States, Canada, the UK, and western Europe.”
