Fortnite has always had a complicated history of canceling updates. There were plans to add some of the most diabolical items in the game ever since 2018. Unfortunately, they never made their way to the game. Imagine having items like tactical nukes or inflating balloons in the game!
Here is the list of some of the insane updates that could have been part of Fortnite, only if they hadn’t been canceled.

Big Poppy Update in Fortnite
The Big Poppy was supposed to be an inflating balloon that would keep inflating till all the objects around it were destroyed. This would have been a cool melee weapon if it was added to the game.
Durr Burger Helmet
The Durr Burger helmet would work just like the bushes wherein players wouldn’t take damage from headshots. A great way to escape snipers indeed!
Fortnite Golden Ticket
This one would have been an amazing feature, as it would allow squads to spawn at any part of the map through a personal battle bus. But guess what, it was scrapped because of the idea of Revamp Vans. Epic was also testing the feature of adding supply grenades in Season 3 but scrapped this idea as well later.
Air Strike Grenade
Epic had the idea of adding Air Strike Grenades that would bombard a specific area within the map. The player needs to shoot at any given area and that place will be bombarded with explosives.

Grappling Hook
The Grappling Hook was another amazing feature that was added at the beginning of Season 4. This would have been a cool feature, allowing players to zipline around the map. This was, however, replaced with a change of design as the Grapple Gun. The Grappling Hook would indeed have been a fun addition to Fortnite.
Bee Hive Grenade
The Bee Hive Grenade would have been another insanely cool update had it been not scrapped by Epic. Releasing this grenade would have released a swarm of bees onto opponents which would have been very annoying for them.
