But Nintendo never really bothered to switch the formulae even in the latest sequel Animal Crossing New Horizons.

The franchise has long stayed the same and offered the same form of animal villagers in the game. This change could become a yet another fascinating DLC instead of a standalone title. The community would not be too happy to lose out on the collection of their favorite villagers from the game and yet allow them to expand it even more.

This just might be the correct change that the title needs, which could evoke a newfound passion for the game. Creatures like Gargoyles, Dragons, Drake, Unicorns, and more will definitely help drive more sales.

The franchise has stayed the same for well over 2 decades and this just might be the change it needs. The studio could add a rather simplified roster of Mythical creatures instead of adding a 500+ roster. It will not only make each one feel special but also make them quite easy to remember. Naturally, boosting the fan’s interest in the game will bring the title back into the spotlight.

The previous DLC improved upon the formulae, but it did not bring any revolutionary change, The franchise hasn’t strayed away from its comfort zone and it may be the right time to add something original.
