Counter-Strike Global Offensive developer Valve announces a new competition for all the fans. It is rumored to be the biggest art competition ever in gaming, with a prize of $1 million. All the winners will have their amazing artwork live in the game. Dreams and nightmares; quite an interesting theme for a million-dollar art competition, right? The contest is based on the theme of designing some really fun weapons of Counter-Strike Global Offensive. Valve also launched a brand new site to give some hints or ideas about what exactly the studio is looking for. There will be 10 winners.
The new site has a lot of examples of all the themes and fun flavors the studio’s keen to see. Not only this but there are some handy links as well to help all the participants. These handy links will help you make your own original weapon. The studio wants original elements in all the submissions and encourages participants to include ”concept arts, mood boards and multiple images from which you’ve pulled inspiration”. This will show the actual process and details of every single thing. This will also ensure that your work is original and there is no cheating involved.
