On September 27, fans saw the end of probably the most beautiful gaming story of all time, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The official X account bid adieu to this iconic title in a unique manner. To carry forward the legacy, the worthy successor Counter-Strike 2 comes in. But is it really worthy to fill the shoes of CS:GO?

Valve launched the beta version of the game on March 22. Since then, there hasn’t been a single instance when fans haven’t encountered any bugs or glitches in the game. Be it opening the scope or the AWP flicks, various aspects of the game are riddled with bugs. But even after the full release of the game, things don’t seem to be improving. And in a new reveal, a bug has showed the coming together of 2 different maps.

There is a popular video that has surfaced on X (formerly Twitter). It clearly shows the current state of Counter-Strike 2. In this video, one can see the player is playing a normal match in the game on the ancient map. But out of nowhere, parts of Mirage can be seen after infiltrating the B plant site of the ancient map.

As the character goes further through the world, it feels like both worlds have overlapped, creating a critical situation for the gamers. It looks like hackers don’t need hacks anymore to shoot through the walls.

There are many instances like this in other maps. Many have this glitch in Nuke as well. Some fans are reporting that they have the Dust 2 map on every map they are playing. If the character goes on top of the van in the Mirage B site, they can see through the walls to the tunnels and top mid, even the T entry to the top mid.

Why CS2 is falling behind CS: GO

CS: GO had become a staple in the gaming industry. So, matching the level was always going to be a tough job. Many fans, even popular professional players, are not entirely happy with CS2. ESL recently shared a video where many CS: GO pros were asked about the successor, but most of them gave a thumbs down to the game.

According to them, the game is not ready for a competitive scenario. Popular CS: GO pro n0rb3r7 stated: “They need to fix a lot of things, like the movement and the delay with grenades, and I think they should fix the servers.”

There are also some problems with AWPs in the game. AWP is one of the most popular guns in the entire Counter-Strike franchise. And flicking with AWP is not as smooth and satisfying in CS2, as it was in CS: GO. And it is stated by one of the best AWPers in the circuit, Kenneth S. The game also lacks a left-handed model, glitches in opening scopes, and a lot of other issues as well.
