Counter-Strike 2 is just on the brink of arrival. With the developers promising a summer 2023 release, many fans are early waiting for its launch. Furthermore, this successor of CS: GO is also making waves through its limited playtesting too. In this playtesting, Valve released the new and improved versions of Nuke and Office maps.

The changes made to the Office map were what caught the eyes of the fans. And if the changes in the map are also released along with the game, it will etch itself as a superior successor to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Counter-Strike 2 might bring back fan-favorite object physics

Recently, some clips from the playtesting phase of CS2 came forward. In this clip, the player was exploring the Office map while also interacting with the objects placed around him. And the vending machine proved to be quite handy. The objects in the environment responded to the bullets fired at them and moved when shot at. This little feature will become quite handy during matches as it will allow players to make a make-shift cover whenever needed.

However, this feature is not new at all. Valve had already given the ability to interact with objects in the environment to players in their older titles. In Counter-Strike 1.6, fans could move barrels and crates to make a cover or a boosting pad for themselves. But alas these changes did not make it to the next entry CS: GO.
