Aren’t comeback stories the best? Why wouldn’t they? They are filled with punch, struggle, a riveting storyline, and a star-struck performance to give a blockbuster climax. Well, something of this sort has happened with Cyberpunk 2077. And while it seemed the film was ending, it might have revived itself once again.

Developed and published by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 stepped inside the video gaming community in December 2020. Moreover, it was a time when the world was going through the struggles of the pandemic. And players were looking forward to entertaining themselves through the medium of games.

Cyberpunk 2077 arrived as a highly graphical action-rich video game. It was expected to bring a whole new array of thrilling and immersive gameplay. However, the game couldn’t perform to its fullest capabilities at first. And unknown, it was that a heroic storyline was just shaping up.

After two years of its launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has made a jaw-dropping comeback. And has left behind even the newly launched open beta of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. Which was the top-selling video game on steam last week.

The action role-playing video game was in the weeds for a while. But all of it was just the build-up to its greatest performance of all time. Here’s the result of the journey that Cyberpunk 2077 embarked upon two years later.

2022 has become the year of unpredictabilities. And recently, Cyberpunk 2077 did the unexpected by surpassing the all-time Steam peak of concurrent players for The Witcher 3 by putting up 104,827 concurrent viewers as compared to The Witcher 3’s all-time peak of 103,329 concurrent viewers.

While some thought this was it, surely Cyberpunk wasn’t done yet. A Twitter account by the name of Benji-Sales (@BenjiSales) has done the honors to present a riveting update. As tweeted by him, “Cyberpunk 2077 Finishes the Week going 7 out of 7 Days with Consecutive Players Growth Every Day on Steam and the #1 Selling Game.” Moreover, it has surpassed Call of Duty Modern Warfare II while becoming the no.1 selling video game.

Surprisingly, Cyberpunk 2077 had a special card that played its trick marvelously. Moreover, as reported by The Washington Post, “Netflix’s debut of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” has people clamoring to visit or revisit Night City.”

Also, Jeremiah Cohn, a member of CD Projekt Red’s board and chief marketing officer told The Washington Post that the game’s 1.5 patch in February, initiated the perfect alignment of stars. Therefore, one can say that Cyberpunk 2077’s comeback has delivered a marvelous price for all the efforts and struggles of the team members backing the game.
