However, the game director, Amatangelo stated this will be the last major update Cyberpunk will be making. He said, “2.0 and Phantom Liberty are the last big updates. We’ll do a little something more, but those are the last big ones.” This means fans would have to satiate themselves with the two updates released this month for the rest of the game’s life.

Amatangelo continued to state that while Cyberpunk 2077 will not get major updates, it will still continue to receive small updates fixing bugs and performance issues. Furthermore, the devs will also start looking into the second entry of the game. He said, “Then it’s Cyberpunk 2. Or ‘Orion,’ I should say, whatever we end up naming it.”

The major chunk of the team who worked on Phantom Liberty DLC will be moving towards making the next Witcher title. The next Cyberpunk title will enter early development at a new studio, dubbed the CD Projekt Red North America. Meanwhile, there’s plenty to enjoy with the latest update, especially with Idris Elba joining the game.
