Anime adaptations of games are the new hot thing! Previously, franchises like Castlevania, League of Legends, Pokemon and now Cyberpunk have shocked the world with their brilliant animated adaptations. Though anime adapting games was a topic of controversy before, now it seems like it isn’t the case anymore.

Cyberpunk 2077 is seeing the same treatment as fans are enamored by its new anime adaptation Cyberpunk Edgerunners! The anime is receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from everywhere, bringing life back to the game.

How is Edgerunners helping Cyberpunk 2077?

In its release, Cyberpunk 2077 was downright unplayable. The bugs and glitches turned it into a joke. The critics and the gaming community had deemed it to be one of the biggest flops of all time, insulting the game and the developers.

The anime tells a gripping story about a street kid living in the Night City. He is the main protagonist of the show. The story follows him as he leads his life of crime in the city of the neon night in a dystopian future where everything and everyone is very closely looming above the line between Man and Machine.

How the Anime brought life back to the game

Edgerunners didn’t just remind everyone that 2077 is a far better game now than its release. It also made the audience experience how life is in the Night City, making them want more, even finishing the series. Giving them a good reason to play the game after watching the anime.

One of the greatest aspects of the show is its Visuals and soundtrack. It successfully creates the feel and ambiance of the Cyberpunk world. The electric instruments in the sound design to fluid animation and usage of the colors are appropriate for the dark sci-fi dystopian world. Edgreunners is a show that isn’t made just for the promotion of the game but to give the fans the Cyber Punk goodness that they always wanted.
