Since the announcement of the one and only ‘spy thriller’ expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 at Summer Game Fest, fans are considering it as one of the exciting new game releases of 2023. This expansion of the popular game that is named Phantom Liberty brings the players to Night City. Set to release officially on September 26, Cyber Punk 2077: Phantom Liberty can only be played on PC, Xbox X/S and PS5.

After the release of the official trailer at Summer Game Fest, fans have already started pre-ordering the game. Cyber Punk 2077 has recently announced the required system specifications for PC on their official Twitter platform in detail for better gaming experiences. The Twitter post also leads to the official website of Cyberpunk 2077, giving broad details of the system requirements.

New requirements and changes in the base game specs

To begin with, one must understand that these system requirements are only for gamers using the PC to play Cyberpunk. Developers CD Projekt Red has designed this new expansion keeping the next-generation hardware in mind. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users are likely to miss out on Phantom Liberty.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is targeting the specifications of the unavailable GPUs at launch focusing on a resolution output of 4K or 1080p display for specific aspects of the games. Developers aim to present the system requirements thinking that this expansion will provide a better gaming experience if played at 1080p resolution with an average of 30 FPS in low preset.

They suggest a Core -&-6700 or Ryzen 5 1600 processor with 70 GB SSD and 12 GB RAM, and 6GB video RAM. These specifications can work for normal ray tracing potential.

Higher graphic resolution can also be achieved with a Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 7800 processor paired with a Radeon RX 5700 XT or Geforce RTX 2060 Super graphics card for 1080p and 60 FPS graphic resolution. Arc A770 graphics card can also be used for better resolution. Users need 70GB NVNE storage with these specs for ray tracing in ultra mode.

For ultra graphics settings that provide a display of 2160p resolution at 60 FPS, a core i9-12900 or Ryzen 9 7900 processor is suggested with a Radeon 9 7900x or GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. However, storage of 12GB video RAM and 20 GB RAM with 70 GB SSD is required to achieve such a display. An addition of a 70 GB NVNE storage drive with this setup can provide ray tracing overdrive.

Cyberpunk 2077 Continues to Set New Milestones Years After Release!

Phantom Liberty creators have kept SSD as a minimum requirement for the game looking at its faster loading capabilities, improved streaming experience, and overall gaming skills. For that, they have completely rejected the use of HDD. However, CD Projekt Red confirms that previous games of Cyberpunk can be played as per the older system requirements. Lastly, Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty only supports Dolby Atmos technology for audio.

This game is priced at 29.99$ for Xbox, Pc, and PlayStation users with an opportunity to receive a Quadra Sport R-& Vigilante car in-game if the DLC version is pre-ordered by the users.
