This axe has a special ability, which allows Kratos to throw it and call it back at will. Maybe he threw it too far this time around (a bad attempt at a joke). It does not look like it is going back to him anytime soon!

Jokes aside, this is a marketing ploy by Sony for its PlayStation 5 console. As it is part of their latest “Live from PS5” campaign.

This information regarding the Leviathan Axe was revealed by an official PlayStation account with the text “Breaking News – A GIANT Leviathan Axe spotted in London. Reports claim Kratos is furiously mashing Triangle in Midgard right now.”

The “mashing triangle” bit is a jape at players using that button to call back the axe by players. Later on, the account sent out yet another tweet saying that anyone wanting to see this axe in person can visit its location by Tuesday evening, after that, it would be gone.

Let’s hope Kratos is not fighting those burnt enemies at the moment, as the chaos blades would be pretty much useless against them.

From revealing the best of games for its console, releasing a brand-new PS VR headset to making sure everyone who wants to buy a PlayStation 5 gets one, it appears Sony is giving Microsoft and Nintendo tough competition.

And this new type of marketing has really got people excited!

Especially Microsoft, which is currently struggling due to a lack of any interesting software.

This year, almost all three of these companies have something big to release. It remains to be seen what would take the cake called GOTY; Tears of the Kingdom, Spider-Man 2, or Starfield.
