Tips for Demon’s Souls beginners

PlayStation has provided a few tips for beginners before the launch of Demon’s Souls. These are the basics a player needs to keep in mind while setting out on the treacherous journey.

Soul is money

After you kill your enemies, you harvest their souls. Souls are the in-game currency, and you will need them to trade or level up. Remember all the souls players harvest stay on the body. If you die, you lose them all.

Death is a part of the game

It might be difficult and frustrating to die and lose all the spoils and souls. Nevertheless, treat each defeat as a learning experience and embark on the journey of getting back what you possessed.

Shortcuts are not always bad

Contrary to the popular saying, shortcuts in Demon’s Souls will help you remain alive and travel back to an Archstone portal. Lookout for vents and levers, as they pretty hard to find.

Choose your quest, hold your discipline

Once a player reaches Nexus, they are required to choose from five different Archstones to continue on a quest. If you find one difficult, return to Nexus and choose another. Scholars from the previous decade will advise you to start with the leftmost Archstone.

The Inventory is limited

Remember what you are carrying, and what you need to carry. Put the limited space of your inventory to good use and watch the weight. You might end up feeling pretty foolish after dying to a creature because you could not dodge with all the weight.

Gear up for now is the time to step in as a hero and return as The Demon Slayer. Demon’s Souls releases tomorrow with PS5. The Standard edition is priced at $69.99 while the Digital Deluxe Edition will set you back by $89.99.
