Marvel’s Avengers has turned out to be a polarizing game ever since it made its awaited debut in 2020. While it was seen as the future benchmark for superhero titles, nothing of that sort actually happened once it eventually launched.

In fact, now the situation is such that most of the players of Marvel’s Avengers are highly frustrated with it. That’s due to the lack of fresh content and of course, the roadmap. Well, a new report has just shed some light on the latter. Not to mention that it’s not in the favor of the game to say the least.

Sadly, the result has been all but satisfactory, as Marvel’s Avengers has mostly failed to live up to expectations. Initially, it faced various cases of bugs and glitches that made it quite a mess.

Lately, the community that supports the title has been annoyed by the consistent push for skins and smaller updates, instead of a proper expansion. Now it looks like the already worsened situation might become even more miserable for Marvel’s Avengers. It seems to be the possibility, at least going by the latest report from Forbes.

As most of the fans have kept asking for a roadmap for the title, now it’s been revealed that there was, in fact, a roadmap in the works at Crystal Dynamics. However, it was canceled earlier this year itself, in favor of various upcoming projects like the newly announced Tomb Raider. The latter will be helmed with the help of the Unreal Engine 5.

A brand worker from Crystal Dynamics reportedly shared this update recently on Reddit.

That will surely hurt the fandom of Marvel’s Avengers as they are still hoping for a larger content-driven expansion.

As for the superhero title, there will be a crucial event coming soon in 2022. It will add Jane Foster, The Mighty Thor, as the newest playable character.
