When Insomniac announced Spider-Man for PlayStation in 2018, the whole gaming community got hyped. They can’t even think but imagine what the game might look like when it comes out for PC. Now the answer is clear, but there is still a giant waiting for the wall-crawler at the top!

Spider-Man as a superhero and comic book character has created a legacy of its own. The comic giant Marvel and the gaming giant Sony both have their fair share of hands to raise the status of Spidey in pop culture. But gamers have a more preferred character to look upon than Spider-Man.

Spider-Man gets the second highest number of peak players but is still behind Kratos

In a recent Tweet by an insider, it was revealed that the latest Insomniac Spider-Man remastered version for Steam was doing good after its release. But unfortunately for some reason, the game couldn’t go past the God of War (2018) PC version by a marking of just a few thousand players.

According to stats, the highest number of peak players for the game was around 64k on Saturday, while for God of War it was around 73k during its first week.

Notably, the game is speculated to do better in later days since gamers are waiting for Insomniac to drop their prices a bit.

Right now the game can be brought at $59.99 USD from Epic and Steam Store. Although the game can get a bit cheaper after a while for more players to buy it, the fact that it was actually a PlayStation exclusive and many players might have already played it before can be a reason for the game not reaching its peak.

The fact that Marvel’s Spider-Man is a social, as well as pop icon, can’t be denied. The wall-crawler is surely known for his comic and movie counterpart, but when Insomniac announced the 2018 Spider-Man game, it became the best adaptation of spidey on games ever.

With a compelling and heart-touching story from ultra-realistic graphics, the game had it all. And now with its re-release on PC the game got even better. With ray tracing and smooth gameplay, the game is gaining fame again, making fans believe that it will age like a fine wine.
