Being successful gave Jimmy something he never saw as a child from a simple background; a lot of money. The 24-year-old now has a reported net worth of $54 million. So, when someone has so much money, they would love to spend it on luxury. Jimmy was no different as he spent his initial earnings on luxurious items, but soon he got rid of this hobby.

Jimmy once said, “Around that time is where I bought my first designer clothes, like shirts that cost a thousand dollars, which is stupid. And I even bought a nice car back then as well because I thought expensive materialistic objects made you cool back then.”

“But then, once you have a nice sports car, you realize it’s cool. But if you have Crohn’s or if you have other issues, they don’t just go away because you have a nicer car. And to me, a lot of that stuff was overrated. So I got rid of it all and realized like that’s just not what makes me happy.”

MrBeast doesn’t focus his energy chasing after money but instead on improving his content and reaching out to more people. Further, Donaldson uses most of his money for charitable work. He also claims that spending his money on philanthropy is more peaceful for him than spending it on luxury.

The 24-year-old has started many campaigns to help others. He also has a channel dedicated to charity, MrBeast Philanthropy. In this channel, all videos are fundraisers, and whatever money is generated from these videos on YouTube are all donated to charity.
