It looks like Nintendo is not the only giant having a large stock of upcoming releases. Sony might end up giving it a tough competition indeed, going by the latest leak. It’s been revealed that a new PlayStation game is coming in 2022.

Moreover, the report also states that this mysterious PlayStation project might be similar in scale and level to the anticipated Sony title, God of War: Ragnarok. Now that makes this leak even more interesting to dive into.

The information comes from a scooper who’s known as @Okami13_ on Twitter.

There’s no doubt about the fact that Sony is having a good time this year, so far, with the recent success of Horizon Forbidden West. The sequel has mostly delivered on the expectations of the fans who were hyped for its release after the first part in 2017.

But the roster of PlayStation exclusives is even bigger in 2022, with the likes of Forsaken, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Marvel’s Wolverine. And of course, how can one forget God of War: Ragnarok, the most awaited IP of the year among PS fanboys.

Now a new leak has suggested that there might be another, unannounced game coming up later in 2022. The insider, @Okami13_, recently shared a very interesting post on Twitter. It mentioned tweets from a PlayStation developer Robert Morrison. The latter reportedly revealed that he’s working on something “equally cool” like God of War: Ragnarok.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing else available at the moment to know more about this mystery game.

But it could be among the already known Sony titles lined up for 2022. For example, Marvel’s Wolverine hasn’t received a date yet, so it may turn out to be this “cool” project indeed.

However, there’s another possibility of a Naughty Dog IP coming out. Because there have been rumors so far indicating that The Last of Us might witness an online version or a remake.

Well, it looks like fans will have to wait and see what this God of War-like game actually is.

As for the PlayStation, there are currently many stunning options available right now with the likes of Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us 2, and many more.
