The Pokemon Company recently hosted the Pokemon Presents, revealing their plans, which include the upcoming Scarlet and Violet. Fans were eager to know more about the new game in this famous Nintendo game series, and it finally happened.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are the latest additions to the series. Further, it would be the first titles of the ninth generation Pocket Monster games. Additionally, the upcoming Pokemon games are set to release on November 18, 2022. These two games would be the first open-world RPG in the series.

What’s new about the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

The Pokemon Company hosted a presentation on August 3, revealing more about the upcoming two games. One of the most asked questions was what’s the new game’s region. So, it was disclosed that the ninth generation of Pokemon games would occur in the Paldea region.

The players will take on the role of a prestigious academy student and embark on a Treasure Hunt journey. However, this adventure wouldn’t feature a specific story like the past games. Instead, they would have three stories, one of which is the classic journey to become a Pokemon Champion. But unlike the past games, players won’t have a specific order to fight the gyms.

Scarlet and Violet will feature many new Pokemons like the three starters Quaxly, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito. The latest presentation also revealed some new Pocket Monsters like Fidough and Cetitan. There would be many older generation Pokemons, and some might also get a regional form like Wooper. Also, players will have access to the legends early in the game and can use them as rides to travel across the region.

Moreover, like Mega Evolution and Dynamax, these two games will also get a special power-up Terastral phenomenon. This power-up will boost a pokemon’s stats. However, some Pocket Monsters would have rare Terastral power-ups that will not only give them a power boost but can change their types. Further, players can participate in Terastral raids similar to the Dynamax raids.
