For a streamer, the pillar of support is their fans. The rise and fall of online stars in this particular line of work are oriented around how much they entertain the audience. Thus, large viewership numbers are pivotal for success. These can also fetch flashy deals from prominent brands as well. Adin Ross, who is considered one of the biggest streamers on Kick is now under criticism regarding this foundational pillar.

That is, in a recent stream, Devin Nash, former CEO of Counter Logic Gaming, accused Adin Ross’ stream. According to Nash, Ross is an individual who uses view-botting. For clarity, view-botting is the artificial measure that some people use to inflate their viewer count. This would facilitate projecting a much larger concurrent viewer count.

“Adin view-bots a 100%,” stated Nash. “I would say 30 to 40%,” added Devin to his strong accusations. This is a serious allegation that is being raised against one of the faces of Kick. Adin Ross has a total of 296,899 followers on the platform. This is a vast number. But, according to Nash, when the infamous streamer goes live, around 30 to 40 percent of the concurrent viewers originate from an artificial script.

Viewership surely affects revenue generation. Moreover, these also pave the path toward sponsorships. So, having a high viewer count is vital for a full-time streamer. But artificially manipulating it is an action that has negative implications. This frowned-upon action can even result in the suspension of the streamer’s account.
