Devs Finally Confirm a Massive Movement Overhaul for Call of Duty Warzone 2 in Season 3!

Although Call of Duty Warzone 2 hasn’t been a bad title in its entirety, there are certain aspects of it that are still annoying the users. One of the biggest problems for the battle royale has been its movement mechanics. Compared to its predecessor, this installment has made unwanted changes to how players travel across the map. Due to this, it has received a lot of backlashes already since its initial debut in November 2022.

But now, this situation is expected to change, for the good. Seems like the devs have finally decided to please the fans who want Warzone 2 to be similar to how Warzone 1 was like. In a recent update, the makers made a big promise regarding the movement in the game and how it will be handled in Season 3 and beyond.

In case anyone missed it, a Community Update blog was revealed by the makers on the official website of the franchise. The blog addressed some things the devs are working on to make the overall experience more immersive.

Alongside other crucial things, they also mentioned that they are working on making movement in Call of Duty Warzone 2 more “dynamic and fluid”. That’s because the game will see a slight adjustment made to sliding and diving responsiveness. Furthermore, the introduction of Redeploy Drones will “better enable rotational opportunities.”

Slide-cancel was already removed with the release of Warzone 2 last year. So witnessing this change in the overall movement will be an interesting surprise for many players. Hopefully, this change will end up making them more engaged in the battle royale instead of annoying them once again. All things considered, though, it looks like the devs are now taking the community feedback seriously.

Activision’s Call of Duty Warzone 2 is now available worldwide. Players can download it for free on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The game is receiving its next major seasonal update on April 12, 2023.
