Quantic Dream, the developer of iconic titles like Detroit: Become Human, Fahrenheit, and recently unveiled Star Wars Eclipse, is working on its second game. That’s according to a new leak, suggesting that the studio is already busy with a fresh game.

Talking about the new project of Quantic Dream, then it’s claimed to be based on 2013’s The Dark Sorcerer tech demo. In a recent tweet, a scooper named AccNgt revealed this unannounced game from the Star Wars Eclipse developer.

Early details on Star Wars Eclipse dev’s next AAA game

As per the leaked information, Quantic Dream is making a humor-based project. And it is reportedly inspired by the tech demo of 2013’s The Dark Sorcerer. The main developing team of the unannounced game is based in Paris. Interestingly, this second AAA title is even more advanced than Star Wars Eclipse. The latter had stunning visuals in its first teaser trailer showcased during 2021’s The Game Awards.

Another interesting thing to note is that the leak says Quantic Dream will make the second game on a cross-gen basis. But it is subject to change as well in the near future. In addition to this, the AAA project will also arrive for PC and will have more interactive sequences. Its setting will be inspired by medieval fantasy.

Moreover, the leaked game will consist of a non-linear storyline, helmed by David Cage. But the bad news for this new project, as well as Star Wars Eclipse, is that Quantic Dream is currently having difficulties in hiring new employees.

It means more delay, for not only the rumored game but also the official announced Star Wars Eclipse. Talking about the latter, then its future looks very uncertain, at least as of now. Just days after its first reveal, several reports suggested that the eventual release will take a long time before it is actually complete.

Star Wars Eclipse will be an open-world action RPG with the story set in the High Republic Era. Fans of the iconic saga will be hoping for it to be great, especially after 2019’s Jedi Fallen Order. The latter was a huge success in terms of critical reception as well as players’ feedback.
