Diablo 4 led gamers to quests, exploring dungeons, and looting items. The game was released four years after it was initially announced by Activision Blizzard back in 2019. The game turned out to be a massive hit among fans. The RPG set astounding numbers following its release. It got so popular that it toppled one of the most hyped releases in the market at the moment!

Following data recorded after launch week, reports say Diablo 4 took over the top of the charts. Diablo 4 toppled Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in terms of the sales chart, taking the number one spot on the list.

Diablo 4 ranks at the top at the moment. It is one of the top-streamed games on platforms such as Twitch, and players are making their way through it quickly. It has even overtaken one of the top console titles in the world at the moment: Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Nintendo Switch titles made waves following its release.

While Diablo 4 did not have exceedingly impressive numbers at launch, the game picked up sales in the week following its release. In fact, at launch, Diablo 4 was behind Zelda, Jedi Survivor, Hogwarts Legacy, and Resident Evil 4 in terms of console numbers. Diablo 4 had a stronger fanbase on the PC platform, with data not being available for the digital release at the moment.

As for the console release, the game came in the boxed release at launch. A large portion of the console sales came from the PS5 at 67%, 27% on Xbox Series X, as well as 8% on the PS4. As a result, Diablo 4 dethroned Legend of Zelda from its top rank, which it retained for four weeks. The Switch title saw a fall in sales over the last week when Diablo 4 was released.
