Considering the delay around TLOU TV series’ next season, a remaster might be an ideal pitch to the fans of the franchise. However, if the rumors are to be trusted, an imminent announcement for the remastered launch seems highly unlikely. Meanwhile, it is important to note that this isn’t the first time there have been rumors around a remastered version of TLOU 2.

Santaolalla discussed his game’s easter egg during an interview. Gustavo Santaolalla, award-winning musical composer, previously won Oscars for Best Original Score for Brokeback mountain and Babel. And he composed the soundtrack for The Last of Us.

He mentioned a brand-new feature in which users can pick the song that a character in a game plays. The remastered version will include this function. After that, Santaolalla declined to continue, claiming he could not do so. Fans believe that the new release is simply a PlayStation 5 remake of the original title.

New editions, this one we will be able to make me play certain songs, and well nothing, I can’t tell you anything else,” he has stated during an interview, initially teasing the remaster.
