The latest Bethesda project Starfield has been dominating the headlines for a long time. From the record-breaking numbers it raised on Steam to take over the Game Pass trends on Xbox, the title has been able to bag big feathers in just about a week. All these achievements are just a glimpse of what the space exploration influence accounts for in the industry. And adding on to that, the 2016 open-world release No Man’s Sky might also be getting some uncalled favors from the Bethesda giant.

No Man’s Sky cashing on the cloud of Starfield 

According to the tweet, No Man’s Sky recorded its best numbers in seven years of its release. Developed by Hello Games, the game was released back in August 2016. The response to the game initially wasn’t pleasing at all for the makers. However, fate had a twist in the tale. Sean Murray, the founder of Hello Games tweeted about the sudden spike their product observed in the past month.

It is impossible for the creation of the scale of Starfield to avoid comparisons from previously made attempts on the same. There’s been a long-running streak of Starfield being subjected to comparisons with classics. These include Fallout 4, Skyrim, No Man’s Sky, and many more. No Man’s Sky is congruent to a lot of elements Starfield aims to indulge in the gameplay. Also, the structure and format of the open world have some glaring similarities.

Being an innovative experiment back in 2016, No Man’s Sky was unable to pull off convincing numbers. Besides the launch being a disappointment for the community, the makers kept working on the open world with patches and upgrades. Ultimately, the game did establish a decent fan following. Exactly! As the founder’s tweet went viral across the internet, fans deduced the possibility of the immediate increase of hype around No Man’s Sky. As you can probably guess, most of the fans deduced it to be the Starfield launch. Maybe, there are a lot of players out there who cannot access the new open-world RPG currently but surely don’t want to feel left out.
