Game leaks and rumors are becoming very common occurrences nowadays. No matter how secretive the developer or publisher is, a game somehow always ends up on the internet. Even though this kind of thing used to happen before, it used to be a rare occurrence. Nowadays, even games like GTA VI get leaked. And now Gamescom has gone ahead and leaked a new Half-Life game.

Yes, it appears Valve is working on another Half-Life game, and it seems they plan to show it during the upcoming Gamescom conference.

It looks like Gamescom just leaked the upcoming Half-Life title!

Valve is a very stubborn company when it comes to talking about its new games. They would not talk about a game even a minute before it is revealed. And that is why every single one of their games has come as a surprise to their fans.

Their previously launched mainline game in the Half-Life series was the excellent Half-Life: Alyx. Alyx, to everyone’s surprise, was a VR-only title. At first, people were pretty disappointed; to many, it seemed like a way to sell their latest VR hardware. But the game was a phenomenal success. It was lauded for its gameplay and the way it looked.

Before that, people hardly even knew such a title existed. If this was not enough, it became a commercial success and even won a bunch of awards.

And now it appears yet another game set in the world of Half-Life is on its way, this has been recently leaked by none other than Gamescom itself. This conference is going to start very soon. It’s customary for a company to list showcases happening on Gamecom’s website. But instead of mentioning Valve they straightway mentioned that Half-Life would be at this showcase.

And instead of keeping this kind of information a secret, they instead allowed it to leak. Although it’s just the name of the universe it is set in. It can be anything, it can be the new story, It can even be titled Half-Life 3, for all we know. This information only states something is happening in this game, but no one knows at all what it is. Some would say a couple of posters mean nothing, and maybe they are right.

But is it something Half-Life related? Here’s hoping Valve decides to take this forward. A leak or not, fans have been waiting. Let’s wait and see if Valve is going to lift the curse of no Half-Life 3 finally.
