It seems like there’s no reason left for the players that can convince them to stick to Call of Duty in the future. Due to the ongoing issues with the iconic franchise, most of the hardcore fans are upset with Activision. So much so, that many of them have already revealed their verdict on next year’s premium title as well. And it’s not presenting a pleasant picture at all.

For those who are not aware, Call of Duty 2024 is expected to be helmed by Treyarch. The studio is famous for offering amazing experiences with the celebrated Black Ops series. However, even the inclusion of Treyarch is not enough for certain players who have decided not to buy next year’s game.

Is Call of Duty 2024 already doomed?

After the release of Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II last year, many loyal fans seem to have lost their faith in Activision. Especially when it comes to delivering a good, action-packed FPS title with no unnecessary elements whatsoever.

The current circumstances don’t look favorable for Call of Duty. While the ongoing installment was already receiving heavy backlash for numerous reasons, the unannounced project for 2024 has also attracted unwanted momentum now.

Recently, a Reddit user, known as EasyDifficulty_69, took to the social platform in order to know if it excited anyone to play COD 2024 or not. Surprisingly, the majority of people reacted negatively to next year’s unannounced title. For some, there’s nothing left in the series after witnessing constant failures.

In general, fans have lost interest and don’t want to buy the next year’s game whenever it releases. “This franchise will never get better”, wrote one frustrated player who expressed a long rant towards the publisher for ignoring the fans. They tried to explain that Activision’s main focus these days is just to make an infinite amount of money.
