A major differentiating factor between both consoles is the operating system. The ROG Ally will run Windows 11 OS. While there were rumors about Windows developing an OS for Valve’s device too, currently it runs on a Linux-based OS.
The Tweet stated the display of the ROG console has a 7-inch FHD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 500 nits. Asus already revealed to give an ASUS XG Mobile external GPU port in its upcoming console. This would raise the console’s display resolution from FHD to 4K. This is a significant improvement over Steam Deck’s 7-inch 720p, 60Hz refresh rate screen.
