Genshin Impact can proudly boast about its unique characters. One of the most important factors that make the game so popular is how the developers are creating its amazing characters. The game always brings new characters in each of its updates to boost the enthusiasm of the players.

3.4 was no different. This brand-new update has 2 new Dendro heroes. One is the four-star Yaoyao and the other is the 5-star Alhaitham. So, here are some combinations featuring the 5-Star sword wielder.

Although Alhaitham seems to be a very cool character, his kit is quite complex. Travelers will have to keep many things at the back of their minds while playing him.

Especially keep an eye out for his mirrors. Alhaitham’s damage potential is largely oriented around the three mirrors that are generated through combat. Maintaining these would be ideal if you want to deal significant damage to the opponents.

Alhaitham can wield quite a few weapons. But let us look at the one which everybody can get their hands on.

Toukabou Shigure

This is the brand new 4-star event weapon players can get their hands on. The base attack and Elemental mastery of the weapon will surely benefit Alhaitham. When running this, the ideal artifact set is 4 pieces of Gilded Dreams.

The artifact set will give the needed Dendro boost every 8 secs. Always make sure that you have the three mirrors before unleashing your ultimate attack, because that is what holds the maximum damage.

A substitute if you do not have Toukabou Shigure is the Iron Sting. So, when playing with this set you have two options to explore. One is playing him as a quick swap character and the other is as an on-field character.

Quick Swap Alhaitham

This is the first option you can use the Dendro Sword wielder in. But, quick swapping him can cause some trouble for you. The main cause is because of his needed Energy recharge (70). The problem with the character is that you gain one energy particle from his mirror-infused attacks. So, Alhaitham needs to be onfield to absorb these.

Thus rotating him will cause a reduced number of particle absorption.

On Field Alhaitham

For using him as an on-field character, travelers need to make sure the party is hyperbloom. That is, two dendro characters are needed. Earlier, there were not many compositions that benefited from this, but for Alhaitham, this is the most ideal one.

You can go with the Dendro Traveller paired with Alhaitham to produce significant output.

Other Dendro characters like Nahida can also help Alhaitham to achieve some significant energy. But the most important thing that you need to do is to equip the second Dendro character with Deepwood Memories.

Now, finally, if you want to run Alhaitham as the solo Dendro character in your team, things get a bit complicated. Someone needs to hold the Deepwood memories artifacts and as other Dendro heroes are not around, Alhaitham himself needs to equip this. The problem with this is that Alhaitham cannot reach his maximum Dendro potential in doing this. Thus, it is ideal to run him as an Onfield character with hyperbloom.
