Call Of Duty’s attempt to erase cheaters

It’s going to be good days for all Call Of Duty Vanguard players, as Activision has finally heard the cries of its fans. The franchise has introduced a new anti-cheat feature for its users to ensure fair play in the online mode. With the new ‘cloaking’ feature, anyone found cheating won’t be able to see any other players in the game.

The cloaking feature is so advanced that it will automatically apply to anyone found cheating. The cheater also can get banned forever.

Ricochet, the team behind Call Of Duty’s previous attempts to curb cheating, had decided to launch the anti-cheat for both Call Of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard. But as of now, the ‘cloaking’ anti-cheat will only be introduced in Vanguard. There is a possibility of it getting added to Warzone soon enough.

The original post regarding the issue came out in October last year. It did not work up to the expectations as cheaters still ruined the game completely.

But it started getting attention when Activision posted about it in February. ‘We’ve seen conversation within the community about how cheating may impact global leaderboards. Thanks to the help from our internal development partners, we can confirm that any security enforcement that results in a ban to a player will be reflected in the leaderboard for each title.’ said the official blog post.

Overall, it’s a grand attempt by the franchise to help their fans have a better gaming experience.
