Dr Disrespect has shed light on the current state of streaming, and what it takes to be on YouTube. The former Two-Time streamer of the year was banned from Twitch last year, which compelled him to move to YouTube. Doc also stated that things have certainly over the years, and now streaming on the platform is a lot easier. He compared with his time on YouTube and stated that it is not easy to be a streamer.

He clarified his team has to figure out the algorithm and work on several things to before streaming. These things certainly make matters worse, and it might also affect visibility. The famous streamer took aim at fellow streamers on Twitch, and how they gather a much wider audience easily.

” It blows my mind, you dont have to try on Twitch anymore. I mean, literally, he has got 50 thousand people watching him, watch other people play solo games, who suck, and he has got 50 thousand views. Like you don’t even have to try on Twitch, I am telling you right now, If we were on Twitch right now, we would have 100,000 people and if you want to equate that, if I were to do my math, I mean that’s, that’s basically 100 million inside the champions arena, you don’t even have to try.

I mean, on YouTube, I gotta like, reach out to my team, I gotta make a whole bunch of calls, what’s the algorithm today, I gotta set up a thumbnail, I gotta set up keywords and hastags, and then still we get barely behind ROBLOX and Minecraft, and we are pushed to the sides.”

Dr Disrespect seems frustrated with the way YouTube works

It is quite evident that Doc is not satisfied with the way things work on YouTube. He isn’t the only streamer who has raised his voice regarding changes that the platform needs in order to become more streaming-friendly. Earlier in the year, people streamer and co-owner of 100Thieves, Valkyrae also shed light on things that YouTube needs to work on in order to attract more streamers.
