The decade-long wait for the Dragon’s Dogma sequel is ending soon! Apparently, a major update in the progress of Dragon’s Dogma 2 schedule has invited the speculations of Capcom to plan a launch announcement soon. Well, the highly-awaited adventure is arriving and it seems like sooner than a lot of fans had expected.

Ever since the project was announced by Capcom, it had remained under the sheets until the Tokyo Games Show 2023. But besides a promising showcase, there wasn’t any firm update given on when to expect the title in the markets. Fortunately, with a subtle ‘media rating’, the stage to a launch announcement seems all clear.

Recently, the official X account of the General Authority of Media Regulation in Saudi Arabia posted the ratings for Dragon’s Dogma 2. According to the ratings, the sequel is suitable for players aged 18 years or above. Although there hasn’t been any confirmation by Capcom on the release schedule of the sequel, the Saudi Arabia ratings have the fans convinced of an imminent announcement.

The most plausible theory that the gaming pundits have come up with is Capcom’s announcement for Dragon’s Dogma 2 to happen at The Game Awards 2023 happening on December 7. Considering the recent rating event, the theory of staging the announcement at the upcoming gaming carnival seems highly rational. Also, the fact that the developers had chosen a similar festive platform for the Tokyo Games Show adds more value to a possible announcement at TGY ’23.

However, developers proudly displayed a few additional items at the event. Dragon’s Dogma 2’s setting is designed to entice players to experiment with various strategies. Thief, Fighter, Archer, and Mage are all the new classes fans would be looking forward to experiencing in the upcoming creation. Moreover, the RPG would be specially catering to the hardcore fans as promised with the first glimpse at the Tokyo showdown.

Earlier, it was revealed to have a release before April 2024. It will be interesting to see if Capcom’s official announcement would follow the previous blueprint. Hopefully, as suggested by the latest update, the fans won’t have to wait for long to get an official update.
