The long wait finally came to an end as Konami and Bloober recently unveiled the future of Silent Hill saga going forward. After years of no news, Wednesday’s massive ‘Transmission’ livestream brought tons of surprises for the hardcore lovers of the horror series.

Silent Hill 2 is getting a brand new remake, with realistic-looking graphics and breathtaking visuals. Ever since the news went viral on social media, loyal fans of the franchise have gone crazy, while celebrating the big announcement.

There were many speculations going on for months regarding the future of this classic series. Just a few days back, Konami had revealed a surprise livestream, consisting of major announcements. And October 20 turned out to be that day when all the retro gamers and horror game lovers, in general, witnessed multiple reveals for this series.

Among other top updates, Bloober Team unveiled the first look of a remake for Silent Hill 2. The upcoming game, made on Unreal Engine 5, will be launched exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and the PC platform. In case anyone is not aware, Bloober is a Polish studio that made titles like Blair Witch, The Medium, and Layers of Fear.

Talking more about the new remake, Silent Hill 2 will also see the return of original creators like art director Masahiro Ito and composer Akira Yamaoka. Although they won’t be thoroughly involved in the making, they will provide suggestions for improvement very closely.

Apart from the massive remake, other projects announced by Konami on Wednesday were Silent Hill f, Silent Hill Ascension, and a new film called Return to Silent Hill. Meanwhile, fans of this memorable series were ecstatic after knowing that their favorite horror saga is getting a resurrection once again.

On Twitter, many people expressed their joy as they witnessed the trailer of the brand-new PS5 remake. “Dream come true!” wrote one passionate game lover and renowned YouTuber theRadBrad.
