On May 11th, 2022, TeamYouTube officially introduced this feature. By buying “Memberships Gifting”, the members not only gift the channel’s monthly membership to other members but also financially support the content creators as well. However, it’s still in the beta phase, being limited to only a few content creators. And YouTube will follow up on expansion in the coming days.

Last year, in Aug 2021, DrLugo switched from Twitch to YouTube Gaming. The streamer also noted YouTube’s latest feature and stated it as “Huge”.
