This is another reason why so many fans are currently arguing online over which game will triumph over another. And the two titles God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring are the primary topics of discussion.
Surprisingly, despite being a masterpiece, God of War Ragnarok fans are rooting for FromSoftware’s magnum opus Elden Ring. But why are supporters voting for Elden Ring instead of God of War? Is it just because the game has spent more time with fans?

Elden Ring getting more support from fans over the recently released God of War Ragnarok
There is a reason why fans root for one particular game over the other, and it is not the gameplay. The real reason why someone finds a game better than another lies in the factor of how much the game is actually satisfactory. Although God of War Ragnarok has brilliant storytelling prowess, Elden Ring marches ahead in another aspect, and that is replayability.

This is why fans have been rooting for the game so much. Unlike GOW Ragnarok, Elden Ring provides a much wider sense of being and purpose than God of War Ragnarok and its plot. Thus, there is a debate going on between fans for the game.

Pretty good list. It’s obviously gonna come down to Elden Ring and GoW no doubt. I hope Elden Ring wins but the PlayStation fanbase is very strong so I wouldn’t be surprised if GoW won

One this more to notice here is the fact that the PlayStation fanbase is really supportive of God of War Ragnarok, but despite all this, Elden Ring is also a masterpiece that has been the talk of the community from the start of the year and thus is the reason, why it holds the most priority in the fandom.
Elden Ring was a seminal moment for gaming on both console and PC. Introduced discussion that far surpassed anything else in terms of discussion breadth and depth.

Elden Ring wins for me. That one had the most "game" out of all of these.

Additionally, God of War Ragnarok is a brilliant game but is a more focused storyteller than a video game. Elden Ring, on the other hand, has the ability to prove itself as a game. Although, the graphics for the game can be a little cartoony at times, in comparison to God of War Ragnarok, undoubtedly, the game has a strong hand in telling more visually than any other game in the entire list.
All fantastic games. Stray, Xenoblade 3, HFW or Plague Tale 2 would win in any other year. However I think it's gonna come down to either Elden Ring or GoW : Ragnarok.
