And it is known that Elden Ring and Diablo IV have successfully achieved the feat in recent times. However, Elon Musk has seemingly made a choice when it comes to FPS titles. A recent viral post by the entrepreneur seems like a tribute to the Call of Duty franchise.

The Call of Duty franchise has been a pioneer of FPS experiences in the industry. It has dominated the gaming trends for over two phenomenal decades now. No surprises, the franchise has a community of its own. And this fanboy community for Call of Duty apparently also includes Elon Musk. The X boss never fails to surprise his followers. In a recent X post, the latter flexed his gun handling skills in real life. And the gun wasn’t just any random build, it was a semi-automatic sniper rifle. While the world was impressed with the movements in the video, gaming fans were intrigued to spot the Call of Duty Easter egg.

This specific simple rifle has been an integral part of the FPS franchise gameplay. Also referred to as M82, it featured in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This semi-automatic gun is considered one of the finest weapons in the game. 

This isn’t the first time that Elon Musk has teased his attempts to bring virtual gaming tactics to real life.

The famous gatecrash of Cyberpunk 2077 recording session with a gun 

Recently, a book on Elon Musk revealed an episode where he took his love for gaming to a whole new level. The entrepreneur had apparently gatecrashed the CD Projekt Red Studios during the recording for Cyberpunk 2077 with a toy gun! 

Grimes, real name Claire Elsie Boucher, was selected to take part in the game. Elon Musk, her ex-boyfriend, cut off the celebration. With a toy gun in hand, the latter entered the recording space and requested a favor from the creators. The favor was in exchange for an appearance in the upcoming film. As you have already guessed, the business turned the request down. Nevertheless, a compromise that pleased both sides was reached.
