What initially seemed like an ignorable situation for the makers is now turning into a problem. At least that’s what recent social media reactions from various Spider-Man 2 fans are suggesting. Some players have made a wild theory regarding MJ in the latest PS5 exclusive. Going by what they believe, it appears that Insomniac hasn’t actually used the original face model for Mary Jane, from 2018’s first part. But is it really the case?

It all started recently with an X (formerly Twitter) post. The user found an image of a writer from Insomniac’s team promoting the latest PS5 exclusive. Along with it, the user also dropped the picture of MJ from Spider-Man 2 to make a comparison. Although the post didn’t try to mention it directly, its motive was to question the appearance of Mary Jane. Basically, it was trying to imply that a writer from the dev team may have inserted their own face on MJ instead of the original face model Stephanie Tyler Jones.

Going by their theory, it may appear that MJ’s face model has been replaced in the latest installment. However, it’s not the case going by the official clarification from devs themselves. Insomniac’s community director James Stevenson has already given a response on MJ’s appearance, earlier this year while replying to a player.

Well, if that’s not enough, Stephanie Tyler Jones the face model of Mary Jane herself had recently shared a post on Instagram. She clearly mentioned that she’s “blessed to return as MJ” in the newest entry.

Hopefully, most of the fans will now be satisfied in case they were having any more doubts. There remains no scope for any other confusion when the actress herself has offered a simple clarity.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Is So Buggy That PS5 Fans Have Now Started a Petition Over This Game-Breaking Issue

Now, it will be interesting to see how other players react to this entire situation going forward. Because not all of them will end up being convinced by the aforementioned posts. Seems like Insomniac’s team will have to come up with yet another response to settle it with the skeptical minds – once and for all. However, this is not the only reasons fans are unhappy.

Though the air is cleared regarding the character, players are still unhappy. This time, it’s due to bugs.

Spider-Man 2 is also suffering from major bugs

This is one problem the game is yet to fix in its entirety. Since its launch last week, a lot of players have witnessed multiple instances of coming across unexpected errors. For example, there was an issue where the game’s disc was getting stuck after completing 36 percent of installation on the console.

Moreover, there’s been the Film Grain bug too. It’s making life hell for players who are leaving the option enabled or keeping its value above 5. The output is resulting in poor textures on the objects. Oh, and there’s another serious bug that’s causing chaos for fans who want to enjoy the game.

Spider-Man 2 has been crashing on PS5 for some users since the last few days. While opening it, they are facing a message showing an unexpected crash taking place. It’s affected them so much that they have even filed a petition online. It remains to be seen how Insomniac Games addresses these issues. After all, it will surely be fighting for GOTY this year.
