Earth is a planet covered with dessert in Starfield

For the longest time, fans have wondered about the state of Earth in Starfield. There were hardly any mentions of our home planet in those presentations and trailers. But one of the leakers has finally given the answer to this. In Starfield, Earth is in its post-apocalyptic phase now. The planet is now covered with dessert and is only there for players to visit, like any other planet in the game.

Planets have landing spots

Starfield is a game of immeasurable scale. Players can embark on a journey through the universe, finding and exploring numerous planets at their own leisure. One thing that was leaked by one of the leakers was the fact that these explorable planets would have a bunch of pre-defined landing spots. This means players cannot just land their ship where they want. They have to land it at specific landing spots in order to start exploring any planet.

Players can explore the whole planet but with a twist

While exploring the vast universe of Starfield, players would indeed be able to explore those vast planets. But not on completion; a player cannot simply land their ship and explore the whole planet from there. They would eventually reach a boundary.

But they can explore different parts of the planet from different landing points. This means that if a planet has three landing spots, players would be able to explore different areas from each landing spot. This is a clever technique from Bethesda to make sure every location is full of things to find. As smaller areas would be easier for the AI director to populate with things to find.

These were some of the most noticeable Starfield leaks that we can talk about as of yet. There’s much more to come in regards to this game, and we recommend our readers stay put and keep checking back for more information on this upcoming RPG.
