Sony’s Playstation will host the PlayStation Partner Award 2020 Japan on December 3rd. PlayStation organized the award ceremony to recognize hit PlayStation titles released in the past year; moreover, they will broadcast the entire event live on the official PlayStation Japan YouTube channel.

About PlayStation Partner Awards 2020-

Sony’s PlayStation organizes such Awards every year since the inception of PlayStation in 1994. They celebrated their 25th year anniversary last year and they will now name the award as PlayStation Partner Award. They also announced that many new awards are also added to the list.

This year Jon Kabira and Hatsune Matsushima will host and present the awards during the event. PlayStation will also thank the creators during the event who have appeared on PlayStation platforms over the past year.

The award ceremony will start at 19:00 / 7pm JST (2am Pacific, 10am GMT) with English subtitles.

Award Categories In The Event:

Titles that were developed in the Japan or Asia with top-ranked worldwide sales between October 2019 and September 2020. They should have a particularly noteworthy activity results to qualify for the awards.

Titles that were developed in the Japan or Asia with the highest worldwide sales between October 2019 and September 2020 will be nominated for the award. PlayStation will only award the Top-3 titles with the highest worldwide sales compared to others.

This award will fall into 2 categories:

  • Titles that have recorded the highest sales within the Japan or Asia region between October 2019 and September 2020. The creators must be from outside Japan or Asia region to qualify.
  • Titles that have the highest worldwide sales from October 2019 to September 2020. The creators must be from Japan or Asia region and in association with SIE Worldwide Studios as a requirement for qualification.
