As it happens, popular video game journalist, Jeff Grub, leaked the said game’s situation in a Twitch stream. According to Jeff Grubb, Electronic Arts will be the publisher behind the upcoming game. Moreover, a new studio will be working on developing the game. Former Monolith VP, Kevin Stephens is reportedly overseeing the project, as he is the head of the new Seattle-based EA studio, which is developing the game. The game is codenamed ‘Project Rainier’.

Jeff Grubb also talked about how EA may be targeting their widely successful game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as a reference. Moreover, Kevin Stephens had led Monolith Games during the studio’s prime! His experience will definitely help the upcoming Black Panther game’s execution.

According to Grubb, the player will assume the role of Black Panther, following his death. The idea is to let the player face all the challenges that T’Challa overcame before receiving the title.

As Jeff Grub further revealed, the game will be single-player and will feature an open world. If EA manages to execute this experience well, the upcoming game may easily turn out to be one of its most successful titles!
