Ronda Rousey is prominently known for her deadly moves in the octagon, however, she is little known to be equally obsessed with video games, especially Pokemon. She used to be super competitive when it came to playing video games, but the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ once confessed how she succumbed to the ‘baddest’ habits because of it.

Her die-hard fans know how big of a Pokemon “nerd” she really is, but they were once struck hard with the fact that the former Women’s Bantamweight Champion lost a bunch of weight as she got really obsessed with it when she first got hold of the game during her childhood days.

Ronda Rousey had an unhealthy obsession with Pokemon

During an interview in 2014, Ronda Rousey said, “My first one was Pokemon Blue, and my first Pokemon was a Charmander and I was immediately hooked on it. I lost a bunch of weight that summer, and I was a small kid because I would not stop playing.”

She continued, “I literally would have like, I’ll be playing it, and I wouldn’t stop. And I would have a stack of Graham crackers and milk next to me because I would not get up to eat. I would just be like, ‘Graham cracker, gotta do this, keep playing, Graham Cracker.'”

Although she is now known to be one of the fittest women in the world, Pokemon would have posed a threat to that image of hers, had she continued her unhealthy adventure in the Pokemon realm.

Rousey once admitted that her competitive spirit for Pokemon used to go through the roof as she continuously crushed fellow Pokemon fans at the mall who played against her.

She uncovered how she used to take pride in collecting badges from winning multiple tournaments of Pokemon, proving that her love for the game is undying.
