As it happens, the suspicious domain is connected to GameFreak’s Japan website.
As mentioned before, Nintendo fans have endured a lot of disappointment since the beginning of 2022. Many popular speculations were dismissed as Nintendo kept pushing their plans. For example, the most recent speculation was about the release of the second wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Course Pass DLC. Upon translating the text in Japanese to English, fans figured a date of ‘Thursday, August 4, 2022’. It could definitely indicate a huge announcement scheduled to happen on August 4. Although it seems believable, it’s better to take this leak with a grain of salt to avoid disappointment.
Right now, all fans hope is for the speculation to turn out valid. Although Nintendo’s game for 2022 stands strong, a lot of fan speculations have suffered an unfortunate dismissal, leading to disappointment.
