Exclusive Interview : Amouranth Contemplates About Leaving Twitch for Kick, Cites Reputation as a Worrying Factor

Amouranth has shared her thoughts about Trainwrecktv’s upcoming streaming platform Kick – says it has a bad reputation.
In October 2022, popular streamer Trainwreckstv dropped one of the biggest announcements of his life. He revealed Kick, a new streaming platform for creators. The developers brought it to life, standing as Twitch’s arch-rival as streamers had complained about various things wrong on Twitch. So, to create a much safer platform, rather something that could be in favor of creators, they launched Kick. But then, after having a good run for a couple of months, things started going south. Like Twitch, users complained that Kick has ‘unnecessary liberty,’ leading to a bad reputation in the market.

And well, streamers also vouched for it as they shared similar feelings. The long list included household names of the industry, but one stood out. After all, it was none other than the ASMR queen herself, who shared her thoughts in an exclusive interview.
What does Amouranth think about Kick?
During an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, Amouranth dived deep into the topic of Kick. When we asked her about her thoughts regarding the same to which she said, “I think it’s hard to start new platforms like this, so I kind of feel for them in that regard. But I think it is definitely getting a bad reputation.”

Then, the Twitch streamer penned the reasons for thinking the same. First, she blamed the team for hiring popular names just for the sake of it. In her opinion, they were posing a threat to the platform’s reputation as they streamed things that were NSFW. A popular example of it was Adin Ross, who was criticized for going too far to garner views.

Second, Amo claimed that ‘Kick was made for streaming gambling and not p*rn, so they needed to straighten that out as soon as possible‘. And this was not just for their reputation, as this extra liberty was allowing creators to take things in hand and cause trouble. This could lead to a downfall in later times, so they need to revamp their TOS.

Last but not least, we also dropped the hot question of whether we could see the queen transition from Twitch to Kick, and ‘Yes’ was the answer. Of course, there were multiple clauses added to it. One being money and a few others juggling between the mentioned reasons. So, even if Amouranth had to, these reasons had to rule out.
