Amouranth has slammed Twitter’s recent ‘verified’ policy, as she feels that Elon Musk can do a much better job. 

A few months back, Twitter CEO Elon Musk revamped the ‘blue-tick’ policy as he introduced Twitter Blue. At first, people could only get verification from Twitter headquarters after submitting a bunch of documents, links, and files. The moderators then would analyze and see the best ones fit for the role. However, this did not fit well with the CEO, as he was not in awe of the app’s business model. So, to increase revenue and turn things around, he announced Twitter Blue for the masses.

This created chaos in the community as fans took sides over differing opinions. While some agreed to it, others settled on the drop-down of its value. After all, the verification held utter importance as people considered these accounts as trusted sources. And just like the lot which remained against this policy, popular Twitch streamer Amouranth also shared similar views.

It is hard to have good moderation over who is going to get a checkmark if they are making a fake account.” Then she blazed guns at Elon Musk, who only focused on pulling out a handful of fake accounts. “He only hammers down on Elon Musk’s fake accounts,” she said during the conversation.

Diving deeper into the topic, Amouranth also stressed having more space for girls and also an 18+ feature that would have a “yes/no” question for safety. “I would make it more open to girls and not just a**holes with fake opinions,” she said while concluding the bit.
