After Sonic Forces, the developers began developing the game soon after the 2017 time period. The developers took inspiration from the 1998 game Sonic Adventures. The Sonic Frontiers is an action-adventure game where players can explore the game’s setting in the Starfalls Islands.
The upcoming Sonic game will not only be a classic action-adventure game but also feature the classic platform game style. Players can not only explore the lands. But they can also take part in various challenges and puzzles. One of those challenges will allow having classic ‘unleashed’ and ‘boost’ style runs.

Further, in the boost style, Sonic will run at incredibly high speed and collect rings. Also, the upcoming game will not have the one-hit-kill enemy system. Instead, the players will have to plan their move combos and attacks. Also, players can take down enemies gigantic than Sonic using proper combos of attacks.

A video went viral on Twitter where someone was testing the Sonic Frontiers at the Summer Game Fest 2022. Soon enough, the video went viral like a raging fire. And fans didn’t waste much time showcasing their thoughts on the gameplay of the Sonic Frontiers.

Most fans found it amusing how Sega didn’t reveal any footage of the gameplay at the Summer Game Fest, despite the game being available for the fans to try. Further, the fans commented on how people are sneaking to get some clips of the Sonic Frontiers gameplay. And Sega is trying to remove any video which reveals the gameplay.

Sega.. Can u just market sonic frontiers like y'know, a normal game? What is there to hide when we've heard basically all the gameplay there is? Why is there a demo, so u want people to try the game, if u don't allow anyone to show the game?? Just show us gameplay of the demo..
The way Sonic Frontiers is marketed makes it seem like we already got a full in-depth trailer months ago and now we're just getting extra gameplay footage and info close to release It's backwards, this is the type of shit you show AFTER we have proper context from the trailers
When will Sonic Frontiers release?
The upcoming Sega action-adventure game, Sonic Frontiers, will release this year. However, Sega hasn’t revealed the exact date for the game’s release, but it will release during the Holiday season.
Further, the game will be released on multiple platforms like Playstation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X/Series S, Microsoft Windows, and even on Nintendo Switch. The game would be available on Steam for PC users.
