With the imminent arrival of Counter-Strike 2, fans can barely contain themselves. The much-awaited sequel to a popular FPS franchise comes a decade after the release of CS:GO. As limited testing for the title continues, fans explore everything the game has to offer, as Valve drops new maps as part of the experience. After the launch of an old favorite, cs_italy, fans found themselves going to new levels on the map.

The addition of cs_italy came with the surprise of ledge glitches that allowed players to scale rooftops on the map. The Italian map was reminiscent of another game with jumping across rooftops, Assassin’s Creed.

One thing about gamers is, whenever you give them a new map or area, they will explore every single detail. This includes any glitches they can find. Similarly, with the addition of cs_italy to Counter-Strike 2, fans began looking for any glitches they could find. To their surprise, their search led them down memory lane as they lived memories of Assassin’s Creed 2.

It starts off pretty routine for ledge glitches, with three people lining up on ledges to boost the fourth player. As the player scales the building, they use ledge glitches to reach the rooftop. That is all you need to relive your parkour fantasy in Counter-Strike 2. You can jump from one rooftop to another, shooting unsuspecting enemies. You can even jump along the rooftops like you are Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed!

Glitches such as this one are a reminder of why Counter-Strike 2 needed a limited-testing period. Through its player base, Valve can find areas they need to work on and put out patches to correct them. It makes the final release of the game a much smoother experience. Fans hope Valve remains on track for their summer release promise.

Fans love the rooftop glitch

Once fans discovered the glitch, they could not get enough of it. The unexpected crossover between Counter-Strike and parkour left fans with hilarious ideas.

As people found out you could prowl the rooftops of Italy, they could not help but remark the pride Ezio would feel if he saw it. Gamers carried his legacy hundreds of years after Ezio passed on the mantle of ‘mentore’.

Although most fans expressed excitement about being able to reach the rooftop, one fan had a different idea. Since the glitch began making rounds on the Internet, it is likely Valve may introduce a patch that fixes the glitch. However, this fan hopes the glitch is retained, creating some interesting ideas for gameplay when Counter-Strike 2 is fully released.

With this glitch, there is an entirely new area for players to explore in the game: trick shots. It might be time to let the Modern Warfare trickshotter out and shoot at the CT side player in the dying moments of the round. The only drawback is there is no final kill cam in CS2.

Although most people focused on the implications of the glitch, one fan was just surprised how the player found three friends who had access to the test as well. As fans of Counter-Strike may know, access to the limited test eluded most players, as they desperately try to get their hands on Counter-Strike 2.
