Bethesda’s hit game, Fallot 4, is getting a much-awaited upgrade. They announced the news in their anniversary blog post. Besides this, Bethesda confirmed many other new projects and surprises on the 25th anniversary of the Fallout series.
Fallout is a Post-Apocalyptic role-playing video game series created by Interplay Entertainment and published by Bethesda. The series is one of the biggest IPs under Bethesda, which has spawned many games, spin-offs, and more.
One of the most popular titles in the series is Fallout 4. The game was so polished and well-made that it made both fans and critics fall in love with it. So it is no surprise that Bethesda chose the crown jewel of the series for the next-gen upgrade.

Fallout 4 gets upgraded to PlayStation 5 & Xbox series X|S
After eight years of its initial release, Fallout 4 is getting an upgrade. This update will include next-gen console compatibility, performance enhancements, 4K graphics, and a lot of bug fixes. This update will also feature some new support for the Creation Club, which is the official mod support of Bethesda.

They announced this news on their official blog post about the upcoming 25th anniversary of the series. There aren’t many details available yet about the upgrade. All we know is that the upgrade will come out in 2023, and it will be a free one. This version of the game will be fully compatible with the next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles and it will use the hardware to its fullest to give an impressive experience to the players.

Bethesda, in their blog post, revealed many other new contents and updates that are coming for the series. But there was no news regarding a new installment in the franchise other than the upgrade of Fallout 4.

Brand new updates announced in the 25th-anniversary celebrations:
New contents were confirmed for the coming months in the 25th-anniversary blog post. Some of them are:
- Halloween-themed event in Fallout 76, lasting till November 8;
- The 25th-anniversary challenge in Fallout 76, where players will get exciting rewards from the atomic shop for free every day;
- The 25th-anniversary special bundle for Fallout 76, Active Prime Gaming subscribers can claim the 25th Anniversary Bundle for Fallout 76 from November 2, 2022, until February 2, 2023, via Prime Gaming Rewards!
- Live action adaptation of Fallout, a live-action series based on the Fallout franchise, has been confirmed. It will be a collaboration project with Amazon Prime.
