Nintendo Switch Online versions of Gameboy and GBA were also announced at the same time, and in their library of games, players got a couple of Metroid games too.

And now Nintendo has announced the arrival of the best Metroid game of the GBA era for Nintendo Switch Online+Expansion Pass subscribers.

When Nintendo announced that Nintendo Switch Online would get Gameboy and Game Boy Advance, fans were pretty excited. The library of games released for GBA was not bad either, but it missed some really desirable games.

Nintendo promised new games in the future, and they have already started making good on that promise. They recently announced the arrival of Metroid Fusion for Online. This game would be available to play from March 9, 2023 onwards.

For those unaware, Metroid Fusion is considered one of the best 2D Metroid games ever released. It has a unique way about it, being one of the darkest stories ever told in this series. It features Samus on a brink of demise. She has to find a parasite and terminate it before dying.

This is the second Metroid game that Nintendo has released on Switch. And if rumors are correct, we have yet to see a lot more. It is being said that Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Prime 3 are also going to release for this console sooner or later. And we are inclined to believe it would happen sooner. Most likely before the reveal of Nintendo’s new console.

It is being said that Nintendo would start talking about this upcoming console sometime in the second half of 2023. As these are just rumors for now. We suggest everyone take this info with a grain of salt.
