Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is a franchise that has left an everlasting impression on players. It plays out as a spy/action shooter where the lone operator, Sam Fisher of the Third Echelon, carries out clandestine operations. By incorporating a stealth-based approach, the player has to choose nonobvious routes and practice discretion by trying to avoid the enemy guard’s attention.

Ubisoft celebrates 35 year anniversary

The game can be purchased from the Ubisoft Store. The game was initially priced at $9.99 is now available free of charge up until November 2. Ubisoft originally released this game in 2005.

This title was the third installment in the series, and in this one, Fisher enters the classified foreign government establishment. He does so in an effort to gather intelligence for his parent organization: The National Security Agency’s covert operations unit, the Third Echelon. The game was a pathfinder for the light meter, which helps in blending into environments. Alongside this, the game also had the privilege of adding a new sound monitor.

While the title had the co-op mode alongside a multiplayer mode are available in the game, official servers are down since 2016. The game will be available to purchase for free from 17 November up till 7:30 PM local time on November 25.

The last Splinter Cell which was released was way back in 2013, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, was the last game in the series.

Hopeful and eager fans are still waiting for another game following almost a decade of new releases. The character, Sam fisher, however, has not stopped making an appearance in other Ubisoft titles. He is a frequent cameo character in Ghost Recon games and is also a playable character in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
