From quills to quests: fans call for unparalleled immersion
Fans are suggesting unprecedented immersion in the speculated sequel of Hogwarts Legacy drawing the inspiration from another successful RPG, Red Dead Redemption 2. One of the fans drew this suggestion narrating how wonderful it will be to see the protagonist character of the Hogwarts Legacy be able to spend more time in the library, common rooms, or in the great hall like Arthur Morgan of RDR 2 with the gang members of Van der Linde.

He points out that Hogwarts Legacy has missed out on the key factor of the Harry Potter books, which focuses on the idea of companionship. Following this, he suggests the developers allow the protagonist to play Wizard’s chess with friends, research materials in the library, or have conversations while having a meal in the great hall. This would also help in bringing the stories of the friends/personalities into the game with more opportunities for serious dialogues.

One of the fans replied on this thread stating this suggestion to be unfair. He claims that with 2000 employees, it is easier for Rockstar to pull off such immersion in RDR 2. whereas, Avalanche, the makers of Hogwarts Legacy has around 150 employees. He believes their initial attempt at making Hogwarts Legacy is truly remarkable, stating “Avalanche on the other hand has about 150 employees in total and I’m impressed they pulled something off like they did since it was basically their first game.”

Many of the fans also blame the limited budget of Warner Bros. for the game considering the infrastructure they have. A fan commented, “It feels like a slap to the face that Warner Bros own shadow of Mordor and Patented Nemesis System, yet the perfect opportunity to use it in a harry potter game was wasted.”
Amid all the speculation, Avalanche Software has created a bigger map that appears a foundational aspect of the sequel of Hogwarts Legacy. As Potterheads eagerly hope for a good sequel, their imagination brings more friendship opportunities, new spells, thrilling game combats, and taking dreams to the skies chasing the golden snitch in Quidditch.
